Role Overview:

We are seeking a seasoned strategic leader to join our organization in Vishakhapatnam as a Deputy General Manager or General Manager - Purchase. Key Responsibilities:

- Lead complex negotiations with domestic and international vendors to secure favorable contract terms, thereby driving significant cost optimization across the supply chain.

- Oversee the end-to-end import and export documentation process, ensuring full regulatory compliance and seamless cross-border logistics.

- Drive the digital transformation of procurement processes by leveraging SAP S/4HANA to enhance data visibility, reporting accuracy, and operational transparency.

- Manage and cultivate long-term strategic partnerships with key suppliers to mitigate supply chain risks and ensure business continuity.

- Implement rigorous quality management protocols to ensure all procured materials meet internal specifications and international industry standards.

- Mentor and lead a high-performing procurement team, fostering a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and professional growth.

Required Skillset:

- Demonstrated expertise in strategic sourcing and procurement management, with a proven track record of managing large-scale supply chain operations for 20 to 30 years.

- Advanced proficiency in SAP S/4HANA, with the ability to utilize ERP systems to drive process automation and data-driven decision-making.

- Exceptional negotiation and contract management skills, with the ability to navigate complex legal and commercial frameworks to protect organizational interests.

- Strong interpersonal and leadership abilities, capable of influencing senior stakeholders and managing diverse teams in an on-site manufacturing environment in Vizag.

- In-depth knowledge of international trade regulations, customs procedures, and logistics management to support global procurement initiatives.

- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on identifying cost-saving opportunities without compromising on quality or service levels.

- Educational background in Engineering or Management from a premier institute is highly preferred, coupled with a deep understanding of industrial procurement cycles.
