Deputy General Manager/General Manager - M&A & Financial Modelling - Corporate Strategy Team

About the Role:

Our client is a leading diversified organization looking to hire an M&A and Financial Modelling Analyst to join its Corporate Strategy team. This is a high-impact role for professionals who enjoy evaluating strategic investment opportunities and influencing key business decisions. The successful candidate will work closely with senior leadership on acquisitions, strategic investments, business expansion initiatives, joint ventures, and capital allocation decisions.

The role offers exposure across the complete investment lifecycle from opportunity evaluation and financial modelling to investment recommendations and post-transaction performance tracking.

Key Responsibilities:

- Build and maintain complex financial models for acquisitions, divestments, joint ventures, and strategic investments.

- Evaluate greenfield and brownfield expansion opportunities through detailed business case analysis.

- Prepare valuation models, investment papers, and board presentations to support strategic decision-making.

- Support due diligence and commercial evaluation of potential investment opportunities.

- Track post-merger integration metrics and synergy realization against investment assumptions.

- Partner closely with finance, treasury, business, and leadership teams on strategic initiatives.

- Conduct market, industry, and competitive analysis to support corporate strategy.

Candidate Profile:

- 510 years of relevant experience in Investment Banking, Corporate Development or Transaction Advisory.

- CA, CFA, MBA (Finance), or an equivalent finance qualification preferred.

- Strong financial modelling and valuation capabilities.

- Ability to work with senior stakeholders and manage multiple strategic initiatives simultaneously.
