Deputy General Manager/General Manager - Finance - Manufacturing

Job Objective:

Responsible for overseeing the day-to-day financial operations of the organization. Acts as the right hand to the CFO, ensuring financial strategies align with overall business objectives. Manages teams within the finance department and provides financial insights to drive strategic decision-making.

Primary Responsibilities:

Financial Strategy & Planning:

- Assist the CFO in developing the organizations financial strategy, ensuring alignment with long-term business objectives.

- Lead the development and implementation of financial plans, budgets, and forecasts to support business growth.

- Provide recommendations to optimize financial performance, cash flow, and capital investments.

Financial Operations:

- Oversee daily operations of the finance department, including accounting, treasury, tax, and financial reporting.

- Ensure timely and accurate preparation of financial statements in accordance with relevant accounting standards.

- Manage working capital, liquidity, and investment strategies to meet operational and strategic goals.

Financial Reporting & Analysis:

- Supervise the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for senior management and the board.

- Analyze financial performance and present key insights and recommendations to support business decisions.

- Lead the creation of dashboards and KPIs for monitoring financial health.

Risk Management & Compliance:

- Ensure strong internal controls and compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.

- Partner with internal and external auditors to maintain audit readiness and financial accuracy.

- Identify and mitigate financial risks, including currency, credit, and interest rate exposure.

Leadership & Team Development:

- Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team to ensure high performance and engagement.

- Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the finance function.

Knowledge & Skill Requirements:

- Chartered Accountant / MBA (Finance) with a minimum of 15 years of experience, preferably in the manufacturing industry.

- Proven ability to inspire and lead teams, and to make decisive, tough decisions when needed.

- Strong analytical mindset with experience in strategic planning.

- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

- Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.

- High emotional intelligence and comfort with financial technologies.
