Role Objective:

The incumbent will support the Business Head in driving end-to-end plant operations and business performance for Heat-Resistant Latex Rubber Thread manufacturing.

The role will be responsible for achieving key business objectives across production, quality, cost, safety, delivery, customer satisfaction and profitability, while driving continuous improvement, operational excellence and statutory compliance.

Must-Have Criteria:

- 18 - 25 years of relevant manufacturing experience.

- Strong exposure to Rubber / Latex / Polymer / Chemical processing.

- Experience in plant operations leadership within a manufacturing environment.

- Strong understanding of production planning, capacity utilization and resource optimization.

- Experience in quality management and process optimization.

- Proven experience in leading shopfloor and cross-functional teams.

- Exposure to customer technical interactions, audits and complaint resolution.

- Experience with P&L ownership, budgeting and cost management will be highly preferred.

- Candidates from industries such as Latex, Latex Gloves, Condoms and related rubber/latex products will be preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Manufacturing & Plant Operations:

- Lead end-to-end manufacturing operations for Heat-Resistant Latex Rubber Thread.

- Drive production planning, capacity utilization and resource optimization.

- Ensure achievement of production targets while maintaining quality, safety and delivery commitments.

- Monitor key operational metrics including OEE, yield, productivity and downtime.

2. Quality & Process Excellence:

- Ensure adherence to defined quality standards and heat-resistance product specifications.

- Drive process optimization, yield improvement and reduction of process losses.

- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and operational excellence.

- Collaborate with R&D, Quality and Technical teams for product trials, process improvements and new product development.

3. Cost & Productivity Improvement:

- Drive cost optimization through:

1. Yield improvement

2. Waste reduction

3. Process efficiency

4. Resource optimization

5. Energy and material consumption improvement

- Identify and implement initiatives to improve plant profitability and margins.

4. Supply Chain & Procurement:

- Work closely with Procurement and Supply Chain teams to ensure uninterrupted availability of raw materials.

- Support optimization of raw-material inventory and working capital.

- Manage key raw materials including latex, additives and stabilizers.

- Support vendor development, evaluation and performance management.

5. Customer & Technical Management:

- Handle customer technical discussions and product-related requirements.

- Participate in customer audits and technical assessments.

- Drive resolution of customer complaints in coordination with Quality, R&D and Technical teams.

- Ensure strong customer satisfaction and adherence to agreed specifications and delivery commitments.

6. People & Team Leadership:

- Lead plant teams across production, operations and cross-functional functions.

- Drive performance management, employee engagement and capability development.

- Build a strong culture of accountability, safety, quality and continuous improvement.

- Develop technical and managerial capabilities within the plant team.

7. Safety, Compliance & Governance:

- Ensure compliance with all applicable statutory, safety, environmental and governance requirements.

- Drive a strong EHS culture across the manufacturing facility.

- Ensure adherence to internal policies, systems and operational controls.

8. CAPEX & Plant Expansion:

- Support CAPEX projects, plant expansion and modernization initiatives.

- Evaluate operational requirements and support implementation of new equipment/processes.

- Drive continuous improvement projects to enhance plant capacity and efficiency.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

- The ideal candidate should be a senior manufacturing/plant leader with strong hands-on experience in rubber, latex, polymer or chemical processing, preferably from products such as latex gloves, condoms, rubber threads or related latex-based products.

- The candidate should combine strong plant operations expertise with commercial/business acumen, including exposure to P&L, customer management, cost optimization, technical problem-solving and cross-functional leadership.

- Education: Engineering / Chemical Engineering / Polymer Technology / Rubber Technology or relevant technical qualification preferred.
