Role Overview:
The DGM - Financial Reporting role is a critical leadership position responsible for overseeing all aspects of financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting for the organization. This role collaborates closely with the finance team, senior management, and external auditors to ensure accurate and timely financial information. The DGM - Financial Reporting plays a vital role in providing financial insights that drive strategic decision-making and contribute to the company's overall financial health and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the preparation and analysis of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements, ensuring accuracy and completeness for internal and external stakeholders.
- Develop and manage the annual budgeting process, collaborating with various departments to create realistic and achievable financial targets that align with the company's strategic goals.
- Lead the forecasting process, analyzing market trends, business performance, and economic factors to develop accurate financial projections that support informed decision-making by senior management.
- Implement and maintain robust internal controls over financial reporting, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and safeguarding company assets.
- Manage relationships with external auditors, coordinating the annual audit process and addressing any audit findings or recommendations to maintain financial integrity.
- Provide financial analysis and insights to senior management, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities to improve financial performance and support strategic initiatives.
- Mentor and develop the financial reporting team, providing guidance, training, and support to enhance their skills and contribute to their professional growth.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable accounting standards, tax regulations, and legal requirements, mitigating financial risks and maintaining the company's reputation.
Required Skillset:
- Demonstrated expertise in financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting within a large organization.
- Proven ability to analyze complex financial data and provide actionable insights to senior management.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, regulatory requirements, and internal controls.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate financial information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Ability to lead and manage a team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
- Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) or MBA in Finance from a reputed institution.
- Experience: 12 - 20 years
- Willingness to work on-site in Navi Mumbai.
