Deputy General Manager - Financial Modelling & Investments - Hospitality Business - CA

Role Overview:

Leading hospitality and asset-intensive business is looking for a Deputy General Manager - Finance to drive lease controllership, financial modelling, transaction advisory and strategic investment support. The role will support property acquisitions through lease, brownfield acquisition and M&A structures, with ownership of the finance evaluation and commercial assessment. The incumbent will partner with Business Development, Legal, Projects and senior leadership on investment decisions, agreements and strategic initiatives. The role requires strong senior-level financial modelling capability and comfort working in a high-urgency transaction environment.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead financial evaluation and controllership of lease portfolios, including Ind AS 116 compliance and portfolio optimisation.

- Build and review high-level financial models covering IRR, sensitivity analysis, valuation, investment returns and scenario planning.

- Evaluate property acquisitions, brownfield opportunities, partnerships, joint ventures and M&A transactions from a finance perspective.

- Review term sheets, lease agreements, management contracts and commercial proposals to identify financial risks and implications.

- Support financial due diligence, transaction structuring and preparation of investment cases for senior leadership and Board review.

- Partner with Business Development, Legal, Projects, Procurement and Operations teams on strategic transactions and investment decisions.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

- 9 - 16 years of relevant experience in Corporate Finance, M&A, Transaction Advisory, Investment Banking, Financial Planning and Analysis or Lease Controllership.

- CA or MBA Finance with strong senior-level financial modelling expertise.

- Advanced Excel capability, including macros, IRR, sensitivity analysis and development of complex financial models with quick turnaround.

- Experience evaluating agreements and understanding finance clauses, commercial terms and their financial implications.

- Candidates from hospitality, real estate, infrastructure, retail or other asset-intensive businesses preferred; Private Equity and Investment Banking profiles also considered.

- Mumbai-based or willing to work onsite in Mumbai; comfortable with high-urgency deal environments and extended working hours during active transactions.
