About the Role:

We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Chartered Accountant to join our client's finance team as a Deputy General Manager (DGM) of Finance. This pivotal role will be responsible for overseeing the entire financial reporting landscape, ensuring compliance, and providing critical insights to drive business decisions. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in Indian Accounting Standards (Ind AS) and a proven track record in managing complex financial operations.

Key Responsibilities:

- Overall Control of Financial Reporting: Take complete ownership of the financial reporting cycle, including preparation and finalization of quarterly and annual financial statements.

- Statutory & Internal Audit Management: Act as the primary point of contact for statutory and internal auditors, ensuring seamless audits and timely resolution of queries. Provide all necessary audit schedules and annexures.

- IFC (Internal Financial Controls) & MIS Reporting: Implement, monitor, and enhance Internal Financial Controls to ensure accuracy and compliance. Develop and present comprehensive Management Information System (MIS) reports to senior management for informed decision-making.

- Direct Taxation: Manage all aspects of direct taxation, ensuring timely and accurate compliance with relevant tax laws and regulations.

- Ind AS Expertise: Possess in-depth knowledge and practical experience in the application and implementation of Indian Accounting Standards (Ind AS).

- Team Leadership (if applicable): Provide guidance and mentorship to junior finance team members, fostering a high-performance culture.

- Stakeholder Management: Collaborate effectively with various internal departments and external stakeholders (e.g., banks, legal advisors).

Qualifications & Experience:

- Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification is mandatory.

- 6-7 years of post-qualification experience in a finance leadership role.

- Demonstrated expertise in financial reporting, auditing, and direct taxation.

- In-depth practical knowledge of Indian Accounting Standards (Ind AS).

- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
