Role Overview:

As a Deputy General Manager for Civil Contracts, you will spearhead the end-to-end commercial and contractual lifecycle for large-scale real estate developments across the Delhi NCR region.

This role serves as the bridge between technical project execution and financial governance, ensuring that all civil works are delivered within budget, on schedule, and in strict adherence to contractual obligations.

You will lead cross-functional collaboration with project management teams, procurement departments, and external contractors to mitigate risks and optimize project profitability. By maintaining rigorous oversight of billing cycles and tendering processes, you will directly influence the organization-s bottom line and ensure the seamless execution of high-value infrastructure projects that define our market presence.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead the comprehensive tendering process, from drafting NITs and evaluating technical bids to final contract negotiation, ensuring the selection of high-quality vendors at competitive market rates.

- Oversee the entire billing and certification cycle, conducting thorough audits of contractor bills to ensure accuracy, compliance with work orders, and timely payments to maintain project momentum.

- Manage complex contractual disputes and claims by providing strategic legal and technical interpretations, thereby protecting the company-s interests and minimizing financial exposure.

- Drive cost-optimization initiatives by implementing robust tracking mechanisms for material consumption and labor productivity, directly enhancing the project-s overall margin.

- Collaborate with senior leadership and project stakeholders to provide accurate financial forecasting and progress reporting, ensuring transparency and alignment with corporate strategic goals.

Required Skillset:

- Demonstrated expertise in managing large-scale civil contracts, with a deep understanding of standard forms of contract (FIDIC/EPC) and local construction laws.

- Proven ability to lead high-stakes negotiations with vendors and contractors, balancing aggressive cost targets with the need for long-term, reliable partnerships.

- Exceptional analytical skills in billing and quantity surveying, with a keen eye for detail that prevents revenue leakage and ensures strict adherence to project specifications.

- Strong interpersonal communication skills, enabling you to influence stakeholders at all levels and lead diverse teams through complex project phases.

- A degree in Civil Engineering, ideally supplemented by a postgraduate qualification in Construction Management or Project Management, providing a solid foundation for technical decision-making.
