Deputy Director - Technical Textiles
Qualification:
- PhD in Technical Textiles or a related discipline from a reputed institute or university.
- Strong academic and research credentials in the textile domain.
Experience:
Minimum 25 years of experience in IITs or equivalent reputed institutes, universities, or research organizations in the textile field.
Extensive experience in:
1. Technical textiles and advanced textile materials
2. Research and Development activities
3. Institutional leadership and administration
4. Industry collaboration and consultancy
5. Academic or research project management
6. Policy formulation and strategic planning
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic leadership for research, innovation, and institutional development in the area of technical textiles.
- Lead and mentor multidisciplinary research teams and faculty or scientists.
- Develop and strengthen collaborations with industry, academia, government bodies, and international organizations.
- Drive sponsored research projects, technology transfer, and commercialization initiatives.
- Support the Director in institutional planning, operations, and growth initiatives.
- Promote innovation, patents, publications, and advanced research activities.
- Guide skill development, training, and capacity building programs in emerging textile technologies.
- Represent the organization at national and international forums, conferences, and industry interactions.
