About the Opportunity:

A Swiss supply chain analytics and technology company, a start-up with an established India presence of over 6 years based in Pune, is seeking a Deputy Chief Technology Officer to lead and shape its next-generation supply chain planning platform.

Founded by a leader who has shaped global supply chain and logistics at the highest levels, the company has built a product platform used by international clients across manufacturing, retail, FMCG, and logistics. The India engineering centre has been operational for over six years and is now scaling its product development capability.

This is a senior hands-on technical leadership role, not a management-only position. The right candidate will be an experienced full stack engineer with deep supply chain planning software domain knowledge and a genuine commitment to AI-assisted, high-velocity product development.

- Tech Stack: Angular - Node.js - MSSQL - Cloud (Azure / AWS / GCP)

- AI Tooling: Claude Code - Cursor - GitHub Copilot Active daily use required

Non-Negotiable Requirements:

- Supply Chain Planning Software domain experience: must have worked inside a supply chain planning product company (Kinaxis, o9 Solutions, Blue Yonder, SAP IBP, Anaplan, or equivalent).

- Minimum 10 years of hands-on production experience with BOTH Node.js AND Angular: either alone does not qualify.

- Active daily use of AI-assisted coding tools Claude Code, Cursor, or GitHub Copilot in current or recent role.

- Cloud deployment experience in production: Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform.

- Proven SQL and database design expertise in enterprise production environments.

- Advanced English proficiency (C1 level): direct communication with international clients and global leadership is core to this role.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Technical Leadership:

- Lead design and delivery of scalable, enterprise-grade supply chain platform architecture supporting public and private cloud deployments.

- Work directly with the global CTO on technical strategy, product roadmap, and engineering decisions.

- Mentor and guide the India engineering team, establishing engineering standards and best practices.

2. Product Development:

- Build and optimise dynamic, responsive web applications using Angular, Node.js, and MSSQL.

- Integrate AI capabilities into the platform enabling intelligent customer interactions with supply chain data and analytics.

- Own end-to-end delivery of product features from requirements through to production.

- Collaborate directly with international clients to gather feedback and iterate rapidly through short development cycles.

3. AI-First Development Culture:

- Establish and champion an AI-assisted development environment using Claude Code, Cursor, and GitHub Copilot as standard daily tools.

- Drive adoption of AI-native workflows across the engineering team to accelerate development velocity.

- Ensure all applications comply with standards in security, accessibility, and performance.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Proficiency in Python.

- Experience with mathematical optimisation, network design, or supply chain simulation tools.

- Background in SaaS product development: experience building products used by enterprise clients.

- Previous experience as a Technical Lead, Architect, or Deputy CTO in a product company.

- Exposure to AI integration at product level beyond tooling use, actual AI feature development.
