Deputy CTO - World-Class AI-Driven Platform

Role Overview : Lead technology strategy and build a world-class platform for a 2-year-old wealth management firm. Own the full stack that delivers a seamless DIY client experience, execution, tracking, research and an AI-powered virtual system unit that acts as the intelligent system driver.

Key Responsibilities :

- Architect and deliver a modern, scalable platform covering: client DIY journeys, order execution, real-time tracking, research engines and an AI virtual system unit.

- Drive adoption of the latest systems architecture, cloud-native design, data platforms and AI/ML capabilities.

- Build and lead a high-calibre engineering team; own product roadmap, technical decisions and delivery velocity.

- Design and implement the AI virtual system unit that powers intelligent recommendations, automation and system-level decision support.

- Ensure security, reliability, performance and clean architecture across all layers.

- Continuously evaluate and integrate emerging tech (AI agents, real-time systems, modern data stacks) to keep the platform world-class.

Requirements :

- 10-14 years in technology with strong hands-on and leadership experience in building complex digital platforms.

- Deep expertise in modern systems architecture, cloud, APIs, data engineering and AI/ML.

- Proven track record of shipping high-quality, scalable products in fast-moving environments.

- Strong understanding of latest technology trends, AI systems and platform engineering practices.

- Ability to operate as both strategic leader and technical decision-maker.
