Role Overview
We are looking for a treasury professional with strong expertise in debt fund-raising to manage end-to-end borrowings, maintain banking relationships, and ensure optimal capital structure for the organization. The role will involve strategic fund-raising through banks, NBFCs, and capital markets to support business growth and working capital requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Debt Fund Raising
- Drive fund-raising initiatives (short-term & long-term debt) through banks, NBFCs, financial institutions, and capital markets.
- Structure and negotiate financing terms including interest rates, covenants, security, and repayment schedules.
- Evaluate and implement new debt instruments such as term loans, NCDs, CPs, ECBs, and working capital limits.
- Prepare and present fund-raising decks, credit notes, and financial models for lenders and rating agencies.
Treasury Operations
- Manage cash flow planning, liquidity management, and fund allocation.
- Optimize cost of borrowing while ensuring adequate liquidity for business operations.
- Monitor treasury KPIs leverage, coverage ratios, debt maturity profile, and covenant compliance.
- Implement hedging strategies for interest rate and currency exposures (if relevant).
Banking & Stakeholder Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with bankers, rating agencies, and investors.
- Negotiate credit ratings, sanctions, renewals, and enhancements with financial institutions.
- Liaise with internal teams (finance, legal, operations) for documentation and compliance.
Governance & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with RBI, SEBI, Companies Act, and other regulatory requirements.
- Oversee timely repayment, interest servicing, and covenant reporting.
- Maintain audit-ready documentation for debt transactions.
Candidate Profile
- Chartered Accountant (CA) / MBA Finance with 712 years of relevant experience.
- Proven track record in debt fund-raising and treasury management.
- Strong financial modelling, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
- Experience in corporate finance, project finance, or capital markets preferred.
