Key Responsibilities

1. Platform Strategy & Ownership

- Own the technology agenda and roadmap for the business function.

- Define platform strategy across applications, integrations, data management, and infrastructure.

- Ensure platforms deliver business value, scalability, and long-term sustainability.

2. Architecture Leadership

- Own, develop, and maintain the target systems architecture (enterprise, application, integration, data, infrastructure).

- Ensure the architectural landscape remains aligned with business goals and future capabilities.

- Drive simplification, modernization, and standardization across platforms.

3. Delivery & Execution

- Lead end-to-end delivery of all technology initiatives for the business function.

- Drive deployment, adoption, and continuous enhancement of all platforms in scope.

- Ensure seamless integration between systems, applications, and data flows.

- Oversee release planning, testing, change management, and production deployment.

4. Business Partnership

- Act as the face of technology for the business function (e.g., Finance).

- Partner with functional leadership to support key business programmes and transformation initiatives.

- Understand business priorities and translate them into technology solutions and roadmaps.

- Ensure platforms support market-level and brand-level needs in line with strategy.

5. Team Leadership

- Lead multi-disciplinary technology teams across application development, integration, infrastructure, and data management.

- Build and mentor high-performing teams, fostering innovation and accountability.

- Promote a culture of operational excellence, resilience, and customer-centricity.

6. Vendor & Service Management

- Own relationships and performance management of all technology vendors and service providers.

- Ensure vendors meet SLAs, deliver value, and comply with governance and security standards.

- Optimize cost, contracts, and performance across the vendor ecosystem.

Required Skills & Experience

- 12-20 years of experience in technology leadership roles.

- Demonstrated experience owning platforms across applications, data, integration, and infrastructure.

- Strong background in enterprise architecture and large-scale systems design.

- Proven track record of leading end-to-end delivery of complex programmes.

- Experience partnering with senior business stakeholders in functions such as Finance, Supply Chain, HR, or Operations.

- Strong understanding of cloud platforms, data ecosystems, and integration technologies.

- Excellent leadership, stakeholder management, and communication skills.

Preferred Skills:

Experience driving digital transformation or modernization programmes.

Exposure to global matrix organizations or multi-market environments.

Understanding of regulatory, financial, and compliance frameworks (if finance-focused).

Experience with SAP, Oracle, Workday, or modern SaaS finance platforms (optional based on your stack).
