Demand & Supply Planner

Key Responsibilities:

1. Demand Planning & Forecasting:

- Create SKU-level demand forecasts by analyzing historical performance, market patterns, and sales data.

- Collaborate with Sales and Marketing teams to factor in promotional activities, product launches, and changing demand trends.

- Participate in and support monthly demand planning reviews as part of S&OP / IBP processes.

2. Supply Planning & Coordination:

- Develop supply plans aligned with forecasted demand and available production capacity.

- Liaise with procurement, manufacturing, and warehouse teams to ensure seamless product availability and replenishment.

- Manage inventory positioning to minimize stock shortages while preventing excess inventory buildup.

3. Inventory Optimization:

- Establish and maintain appropriate safety stock levels to ensure efficient inventory turnover.

- Monitor slow-moving and obsolete inventory and recommend corrective or liquidation strategies.

- Track products nearing expiry and implement proactive measures to reduce losses.

4. Cross-Functional Collaboration:

- Act as a key coordination point between Sales, Supply Chain, Operations, and Finance teams.

- Facilitate regular planning meetings to align stakeholders on demand and supply priorities.

- Coordinate with vendors to manage lead times, minimum order quantities (MOQs), and supply risks.

5. Analytics & Performance Reporting:

- Measure and evaluate forecast accuracy, bias, and service level performance.

- Prepare periodic inventory, demand, and supply performance dashboards.

- Deliver data-driven insights to enhance forecasting reliability and supply chain efficiency.

6. Continuous Process Enhancement:

- Identify opportunities to improve forecasting methodologies, replenishment workflows, and planning frameworks.

- Contribute to automation initiatives and system improvements using planning tools such as SAP, APO, IBP, Oracle, or equivalent platforms.
