Role Overview:
As a Demand Planning Analyst a, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining accurate demand forecasts, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and driving improvements in our clients' supply chain performance. You will work closely with sales, marketing, and supply chain teams to gather insights, analyze historical data, and identify trends to create robust demand plans. Your insights will directly impact our clients' ability to meet customer demand, minimize inventory costs, and maximize profitability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain statistical forecasting models using time series analysis, regression techniques, and other relevant methodologies to predict future demand for our clients' products.
- Collaborate with sales, marketing, and supply chain teams to gather market intelligence, promotional plans, and new product launch information to incorporate into demand forecasts.
- Analyze historical sales data, market trends, and seasonality patterns to identify drivers of demand variability and improve forecast accuracy.
- Monitor forecast performance, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective actions to enhance forecast accuracy and reduce forecast bias.
- Participate in Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) meetings to present demand forecasts, discuss potential risks and opportunities, and align demand plans with supply plans.
- Generate and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) related to demand planning, such as forecast accuracy, inventory levels, and service levels, to track progress and identify areas for improvement.
- Develop and maintain documentation of demand planning processes, methodologies, and assumptions to ensure consistency and transparency.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization to share insights, recommendations, and updates on demand planning activities.
Required Skillset:
- Demonstrated ability to develop and implement statistical forecasting models using tools like Python, R, or similar statistical software.
- Proven experience in analyzing large datasets, identifying trends, and extracting actionable insights to improve demand planning accuracy.
- Strong understanding of supply chain principles, demand planning processes, and S&OP methodologies.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and present complex information to stakeholders.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.
