About the Opportunity

A leading Consumer Durables/FMCD organization is strengthening its Supply Chain Planning function and is looking to build a talent pipeline for current and upcoming Demand Planning opportunities. This role is ideal for professionals who have experience in demand forecasting, S&OP, inventory optimization, statistical forecasting, and cross-functional planning. The incumbent will play a critical role in improving forecast accuracy, ensuring product availability, and driving efficient inventory management across multiple product categories.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop and maintain demand forecasts using historical sales trends, market intelligence, promotions, and business inputs.

- Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Finance, Supply Planning, and Commercial teams to build consensus demand plans.

- Drive the monthly S&OP process and ensure alignment between demand and supply.

- Monitor forecast accuracy and bias, identifying improvement opportunities through data-driven analysis.

- Analyze sales trends, seasonality, product lifecycle, and customer demand patterns.

- Work closely with Supply Planning teams to ensure optimal inventory levels while minimizing stock-outs and excess inventory.

- Support new product launches by creating demand plans and monitoring market performance.

- Generate planning reports, dashboards, and KPIs for business review meetings.

- Recommend process improvements and best practices to enhance planning efficiency.

- Leverage ERP/APO/IBP or advanced planning tools for demand planning and reporting.

Ideal Candidate

- 6-10 years of experience in Demand Planning, Sales Forecasting, Supply Chain Planning, or Integrated Business Planning.

- Experience in Consumer Durables, FMCD, FMCG, Electricals, Appliances, Consumer Electronics, or Manufacturing industries.

- Strong understanding of Demand Planning, S&OP, Forecasting, Inventory Management, and Supply Chain processes.

- Hands-on experience with ERP and planning systems such as SAP APO, SAP IBP, Oracle, Kinaxis, or similar planning tools will be preferred.

- Strong analytical mindset with proficiency in Excel and data analysis.

- Excellent stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills.
