Job Title: Senior Consultant/Manager - Operational Due Diligence (Hospitals)

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Consultant with deep expertise in healthcare operations, specifically hospital operations, to join our Strategy & Operations team. This role is focused on Operational Due Diligence (ODD) for transactions involving hospitals and healthcare assets. You will work with leading private equity firms, healthcare providers, and institutional investors to assess operational performance, identify risks and opportunities, and support value creation planning.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Lead and support operational due diligence assignments for hospitals and healthcare providers (multispecialty hospitals, single-specialty chains, diagnostics networks, day care centres, etc.)

Evaluate key hospital functions such as:

- Clinical and non-clinical operations

- Medical staffing and resource productivity

- Pricing strategy and cost structure

- Patient flow and capacity utilization

- Quality metrics and accreditations

- Procurement and inventory processes

- Revenue cycle and billing practices

2. Benchmark operational KPIs against industry norms to identify inefficiencies and improvement levers

3. Assess risks to business continuity and scalability in the context of potential investment or acquisition

4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including strategy, finance, and technology to deliver integrated insights

5. Interact with senior client stakeholders including hospital CXOs, clinical leadership, and PE deal teams

6. Prepare and deliver compelling reports and presentations to support client decision-making during investment transactions

7. Contribute to internal knowledge building on hospital operating models and sector trends

Qualifications:

Education: Bachelors degree in Lifesciences + MBA (preferred), or equivalent combination of clinical and business qualifications

Experience: 4-6 years of relevant experience in:

- Hospital consulting (Big 4, MBB, boutique healthcare firms)

- Hospital operations / administration

- Healthcare investment advisory or transaction support

- Prior experience in commercial and/or operational due diligence is strongly preferred

- Solid understanding of Indian hospital landscape, regulatory environment, and operational benchmarks

- Demonstrated ability to analyze complex data and draw actionable insights

- Strong verbal and written communication skills

- Willingness to travel as per project needs

Preferred Skills:

1. Familiarity with hospital MIS and EMR systems

2. Experience in analyzing hospital P\&L and cost centers

3. Exposure to quality frameworks (e.g., NABH, JCI) and hospital accreditation norms

4. Comfort working in fast-paced, unstructured, and client-facing environments
