JD - Delivery Director / Head of Delivery | Treasury & Capital Markets Technology

Location: India - Mumbai ( preferred) but okay for Hyderabad and Chennai ( in this order)

Role Summary:

We are seeking a Delivery Director / Head of Delivery with strong financial markets domain expertise (Treasury, Sell-side, or Buy-side) and proven leadership in large-scale delivery of trading, risk, funding, and liquidity platforms. This leader will be hands-on in program execution, modernization, and solution governance, ensuring on-time, high-quality delivery of mission-critical systems. The role requires deep knowledge of capital markets technology, engineering practices, and end-to-end delivery ownership across global stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities - Delivery Leadership:

- Own end-to-end delivery of Treasury & Markets technology initiatives across India and global teams.

- Drive planning, execution, risk management, and stakeholder reporting for multi-million-dollar programs.

- Govern multiple agile teams across engineering, QA, DevOps, and data streams.

- Ensure delivery excellence in resiliency, scalability, security, and regulatory compliance.

Hands-on Program Management:

- Stay deeply involved in execution - architecture reviews, dependency management, release planning, cutover management.

- Drive modernization of legacy Treasury & Markets platforms (monolith-to-microservices, cloud migration, data streaming).

- Implement best practices in Agile/Scaled Agile, DevSecOps, CI/CD, observability, and cloud-native delivery.

Solutioning & Modernization:

- Partner with product owners and Treasury stakeholders to define target state architectures.

- Shape modernization roadmaps in microservices, APIs, event-driven architectures, real-time data, and cloud.

- Oversee vendor platforms (Murex, Calypso/Adenza, FIS, Finastra, TCS BaNCS, Oracle OFS) and internal builds.

AI & Productivity Enablement:

- Champion the use of AI/GenAI tools for engineering acceleration (rapid prototyping, test automation, code refactoring).

- Explore AI-driven approaches for program monitoring, predictive delivery analytics, risk alerts.

People & Stakeholder Management:

- Build , scale and managed high-performing delivery teams (25-50+ FTEs across captive/vendor ecosystems).

- Partner with global CIO/CTO, business sponsors, and regulators to align delivery with business outcomes.

- Manage third-party vendors and offshore/onshore delivery partners.

Key Qualifications:

- 10 - 15 years of experience in software delivery for BFSI (with at least 7-10 years in capital markets / treasury systems).

- Strong track record as Delivery Director / Head of Delivery / Program Director in Sell-side / Buy-side / Treasury tech.

- Deep expertise in delivery of mission-critical systems: Treasury, ALM, Risk, MM, FX, Fixed Income, Funding, or Investment Platforms.

- Hands-on experience with modernization projects: microservices, APIs, cloud-native, containers (Kubernetes/Docker), real-time data pipelines (Kafka/Pulsar).

- Solid grounding in engineering + solutioning - not just governance, but able to dive into delivery challenges.

- Familiarity with AI-assisted engineering and use of AI for delivery productivity.

- Strong global stakeholder management (Front Office, Treasury, Risk, Finance, and Operations).

- Target Firms in India (for targeted head hunting/scouting)
