Key Responsibilities:
S&OP & Volume Forecasting:
- Forward Planning: Develop and maintain a 3-month rolling volume forecast to align logistics supply with business demand.
- Strategic Alignment: Work closely with senior leadership to translate business growth targets into actionable lane-level volume requirements.
- Performance Tracking: Create and manage dashboards to monitor forecast accuracy vs. actualized volume, identifying and rectifying variances.
- Operating Rhythms: Lead monthly S&OP reviews with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on upcoming promotional peaks or seasonal shifts.
Capacity & Vendor Management:
- Asset Strategy: Design a balanced "Hybrid Fleet" model, determining the optimal mix of Leased (Fixed) vs. Ad-hoc (Market) capacity to maximize cost-efficiency.
- Regional Capacity Mapping: Maintain a comprehensive view of vendor capacity across different regions, ensuring a high "fill rate" for ad-hoc requirements.
- Vendor Engagement: Strengthen relationships with national and regional fleet owners to ensure priority access during high-demand periods.
- Risk Mitigation: Identify regional capacity gaps and onboard new vendors to prevent service disruptions in emerging or volatile markets.
FTL Pricing & Revenue Optimization:
- Market Intelligence: Conduct ongoing market research on fuel price indices and competitor logistics strategies to refine FTL rate cards.
- P&L Ownership: Manage the logistics budget for assigned zones, focusing on reducing the Cost Per Ton-Mile while maintaining service levels.
- Data Analysis: Utilize SQL and Excel to analyze historical spot rates and negotiate competitive long-term lease contracts.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
- Experience: Proven track record in Program Management, Zonal Operations, or Key Account Management within the logistics or food-tech space.
- Technical Proficiencies: Advanced skills in SQL, Excel, and Data Visualization for complex business reviews.
- Leadership: Experience leading high-performing teams and managing complex stakeholder environments.
- Strategic Execution: Ability to design localized strategies that seize market opportunities while optimizing internal processes.
