Senior Manager - Capacity Planning (FTL) - North

Department: Full Truckload (FTL) - Supply Chain & Strategy

Location: Gurgaon

Reports to: Director of Capacity Planning

Position Overview:

As the Senior Manager for Capacity Planning (North), you will be the regional lead responsible for the strategic and operational architecture of our fleet network across the North cluster. You will balance regional demand volatility with cost-effective supply by managing a complex mix of leased assets, Fixed Rate Contracts (FRCs), and ad-hoc vendor capacity. You act as the critical bridge between regional Business Development, the Supply team, and Ground Operations.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Regional Lease Management & Asset Optimization:

- Lane Identification: Conduct deep-dive analysis of historical demand and First Mile (FM) patterns within the North region to identify high-density lanes suitable for long-term lease conversion.

- Two-Way Volume Engineering: Partner closely with North-region Business Development (BD) to build "backhaul" and circular volume commitments, ensuring leased assets achieve maximum utilization and least dry-runs.

- Unit Economics: Finalize the regional "math" on leases to ensure leased deployments consistently outperform market spot rates.

- Asset Deployment & Branding: Orchestrate the physical deployment of leased assets to North-region and ensure 100% brand compliance (vehicle wrapping/livery) through the Supply team.

2. Integrated Capacity Planning & Execution:

- Regional Forecasting: Define the capacity blueprint for all Northern lanes, designating precise requirements for Leased trucks, FRCs, and New Vendor Onboarding.

- Supply Orchestration: Provide actionable demand to the regional Supply team, specifying exact vehicle types, FRC counts, and vendor numbers required to meet forecasted demand.

- Performance Monitoring: Own the regional capacity funnel. Monitor trip frequency per asset, actual vs. planned procurement rates, and real-time utilization metrics.

- Cluster & Launch Strategy: Lead the planning for new cluster launches in the North based on specific RFQs and emerging demand, providing the Supply team with clear, time-bound actionables.

The Ideal Candidate:

Experience:

- 5-10 years in Supply Chain Planning, Logistics, or Network Design with a heavy focus on FTL (Full Truckload) operations.

Education:

- MBA/B-Tech from a top-tier institute or a Master's in Operations Research/Supply Chain Management.

Technical Skills:

- Advanced data modeling skills (Excel, SQL) with the ability to turn complex data sets into operational roadmaps.

Leadership:

- Strong stakeholder management skills; ability to navigate and influence cross-functional teams in a high-pressure environment.
