Delhivery - Director - Last Mile Operations

Role & responsibilities:

- Uses structured processes & best practice methods to recruit, select, develop & manage the performance of professional & front line employees performing diverse functions. Ensures they have the capability & the potential to deliver both current and future job requirements.

- Achieve the business/service goals for a large and complex multi-functional operation for a given Region, whilst ensuring ongoing compliance with Delhivery standards and relevant regulatory requirements.

- Includes securing appropriate resources (people, budgets, equipment etc) and developing/implementing effective processes, systems, procedures and controls to achieve the required results within the relevant business/industrial relations/cultural environment.

- To focus on supporting the development and retention of profitable business that provides service excellence by leveraging the Delhivery philosophy to inspire, engage and develop a motivated Team who deliver the required results.

- Ensure regular shipment audits are done at all facilities, cash is deposited on time, right statuses are updated in the system and initiate disciplinary actions against defaulters across the region.

- Ensure all team members are treated with complete fairness without favor or fear. Work with corporate teams like HR, Security and Finance to support team members, where required.

- Drive expansion to cover more pin codes within the region, working with direct reports to close out new facilities, manpower, fleet, training, etc.

- Create a culture of training by regularly conducting behavioral & soft skills training to the direct team members and coaching them on training further down the line.

Preferred candidate profile:

- Education: Btech /MBA- Tier 1, 2 is preferable.

- Functional Skills: Operations Management, Data Analysis, Stakeholder Management.

- Experience: Relevant experience in Logistics/ Manufacturing industry.

- Behavioral Skills: Good communication and people management, analytical skills, task prioritization and follow-up, Hustler, Go-Getter attitude.

- Exposure to work in /Ability to work well in a team environment. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders for business purposes/in order to gain credibility with senior management.

- Should be open for extensive travel.
