Role purpose:

- To lead the people and manage the manufacturing operations within the plant / area of responsibility to deliver specified business annual targets and to improve the overall long term capability of the assets, systems and personnel

- To manage activities in compliance with site, company and regulatory requirements.

Accountabilities:

- For operating the plant as per the HSEQEn management system

- For any scenarios that can- place oneself as well as others to injuries /illness and Environment pollution

- Ensure all operations within the area of responsibility comply with Legislative, Company and Site standards and that all personnel display the appropriate behaviours

- Consider Energy Management to be taken into consideration during MoCs

Responsibilities:

- Implement GreenCo rating system requirement.

- Develop the capability of all personnel within the area to ensure continued delivery of business targets

- Lead Team to ensure that production is on time and in budget meeting Right First Time.

- Coordinate the development of Improvement Plans and Projects for the area, ensure they are adequately resourced / supported and monitor / progress delivery against the agreed milestones

- Monitor the supporting systems and assets for the area so that their capability can be continuously improved

- Lead major change activities / initiatives within area.

- Support Area EMT member to Set Baseline, EnPI, determine Significant Energy Use, Forecast Energy usage and track and evaluate energy use

- Carry our Root Cause Analysis for Energy Uses not meeting planned figures

- Implement EnMS projects in their area.

- Consider Energy Management while raising MOC's

Critical knowledge:

- Chemical Engineering

- Advanced knowledge of mature HSEQEn systems

- Statutory and legal requirements in Production

- Production Planning and Production Management systems.

- Awareness of IMS and TFS requirements for this role

- Awareness of ISO 50001:2018 requirements for this role

Critical experience:

- 10 years' total experience in chemical synthesis production/ Process Development role.

- 4 years in Production in a DCS environment and a mature HSEQEn Management System
