Debt Capital Markets Associate - FinTech/Startup

Role: Debt Capital Markets Associate (Fintech Startup)

Location: Gurgaon or Mumbai

We are currently retained by a growing fintech startup to hire an Associate for the debt capital market for them. This role requires the ability to independently drive and close capital partnerships with NBFCs, banks, and family offices. The candidate must possess a strong grasp of financial concepts like direct assignment, PTCs, loan syndication, working capital, term loans, and security structures. Key responsibilities include identifying and engaging decision-makers, managing investor relations, and representing the company to optimize brand value.

Key Responsibilities:

- Initiate, nurture, and close capital partnerships with NBFCs, Banks, and Family Offices.

- Strong understanding of financial structures like Direct Assignment, NBFC funding, Loan Syndication, Cash Flow, Working Capital, Term Loans, and security structures.

- Identify and engage key decision-makers at potential investor institutions.

- Drive investor education, optimize value delivery, and enhance brand visibility during engagements.

- Share actionable market intelligence across teams to guide product development, enhancements, and market strategy.

- Monitor banking and fintech trends, regulatory shifts, and competitor moves to inform strategic choices.

- Serve as the single point of contact for partner banks/NBFCs, nurturing CXO-level relationships and overseeing mandate execution.

To fit the bill, you must have:

- 1-4 years of experience in debt syndication or managing NBFC/Bank relationships, with a strong network across financial institutions.

- MBA/CA/ICWA/CFP with a strong drive, problem-solving mindset, and passion for value creation.

- Skilled in stakeholder management, negotiations, and independently closing complex mandates.

- Proactive, persuasive, and effective communicator with the agility to thrive in a fast-paced, startup environment.

Please Note: The role is can be based out of Gurgaon or Mumbai and is an office-based role.
