About the Opportunity

A leading, highly ranked private university in North India is seeking an accomplished academic leader to head its CSE/ECE Cluster. This is a high-impact leadership role responsible for managing a large academic ecosystem and driving excellence across teaching, research, and placements.

Role Overview

The Dean will be responsible for leading Computer Science Engineering (CSE) and/or Electronics & Communication Engineering (ECE) departments within a cluster model, catering to 1500-2000 students.

The role operates in an evening academic shift (2:00 PM - 9:20 PM) and requires strong academic governance, industry alignment, and team leadership capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide strategic and operational leadership to CSE/ECE departments

- Drive curriculum innovation aligned with industry trends (AI/ML, Cybersecurity, VLSI, Data Science, etc.)

- Lead accreditation processes (NBA/NAAC) and ensure academic compliance

- Build and mentor high-performing faculty teams; oversee hiring, training, and evaluations

- Strengthen research output, publications, patents, and funded projects

- Develop industry collaborations, MoUs, and partnerships

- Enhance student employability and placements through structured programs, hackathons, and corporate engagement

- Oversee academic delivery, infrastructure, budgeting, and departmental KPIs

- Foster an ecosystem of innovation, entrepreneurship, and interdisciplinary learning

Eligibility Criteria

- Ph.D. in Computer Science Engineering / Electronics & Communication Engineering (mandatory)

- M.Tech in relevant discipline from a reputed institution

- 15+ years of experience in academia/industry, with significant leadership exposure

- Proven experience in handling large student cohorts (1500+)

- Strong track record in research, publications, accreditations, and academic administration

- Prior experience as Dean / HoD / Academic Leader in reputed institutions preferred
