
Role Overview:
As a Debt Syndication - Deal Sourcing Specialist, you will be at the forefront of identifying and securing new debt financing opportunities for the organization. Your day-to-day will involve extensive market research, networking with potential clients, and building strong relationships with banks and financial institutions. You will collaborate closely with the Debt Syndication team, Corporate Finance, and other internal stakeholders to evaluate deals, structure financing solutions, and drive the origination process. Your efforts will directly contribute to the company's growth by expanding its debt portfolio and providing crucial financial resources to clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and cultivate new debt syndication opportunities by actively researching market trends, industry developments, and potential client needs.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers at corporations, banks, financial institutions, and private equity firms to generate deal flow.
- Conduct preliminary due diligence and financial analysis to assess the viability and attractiveness of potential debt financing transactions.
- Prepare compelling pitch books, presentations, and financial models to effectively communicate deal opportunities to internal stakeholders and potential investors.
- Collaborate with the Debt Syndication team to structure innovative and competitive financing solutions that meet client objectives and maximize returns.
- Manage the deal origination process from initial contact to term sheet negotiation, ensuring timely and efficient execution.
- Stay abreast of regulatory changes and market dynamics impacting the debt syndication landscape to identify new opportunities and mitigate risks.
Required Skillset:
- Demonstrated ability to source and evaluate debt financing opportunities, with a strong understanding of corporate finance principles and debt markets.
- Proven track record of building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders in the financial industry, including banks, financial institutions, and corporate clients.
- Excellent financial modeling and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret financial statements and assess credit risk.
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively articulate complex financial concepts to diverse audiences.
- Strong negotiation and deal-making skills, with the ability to structure and close debt financing transactions.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field; MBA or CFA preferred.
- Adaptability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
