We are seeking a high-performing and commercially driven Sr. Manager - Ad Sales (Education Vertical) to lead revenue growth across our print media portfolio within the education ecosystem. This role demands strong strategic thinking, deep understanding of education advertisers and agencies, and the ability to build long-term partnerships with institutions and brands. You will play a critical role in driving innovative advertising solutions, expanding existing accounts, and unlocking new revenue streams across schools, colleges, universities, EdTech, and skill development organizations.

Roles & Responsibilities:
Sales Strategy & Revenue Growth
- Define and execute sales strategies and revenue plans for the education vertical aligned with overall business goals.
- Identify, ideate, and implement new revenue opportunities across education segments such as schools, colleges, universities, EdTech, test prep, study abroad, and vocational training.
- Capitalize on seasonal opportunities including admission cycles, result seasons,
counselling periods, and academic calendars.
- Drive consistent achievement and over-achievement of revenue targets.
Client Acquisition & Relationship Management
- Acquire new education advertisers and grow business with existing institutional clients and education-focused agencies.
- Build and nurture long-term relationships with key decision-makers including Founders, Marketing Heads, Admission Heads, and Principals.
- Understand client objectives such as student acquisition, brand visibility, and lead generation, and deliver customized, ROI-driven advertising solutions.
Business Development & Innovation:
- Conceptualize, pitch, and scale innovative education advertising offerings including supplements, special features, rankings, admission guides, branded content, and integrated campaigns.
- Drive event-led and seasonal sales around board exams, entrance exams, admissions, convocations, education expos, and career fairs.
- Monitor education market trends, advertiser behaviour, fee cycles, and competitor activity to stay ahead of the curve.
Sales Operations & Execution:
- Manage the end-to-end sales lifecycle including lead generation, client meetings, DCRs, presentations, negotiations, deal closures, and ad scheduling.
- Coordinate with editorial, marketing, and production teams to create compelling education- centric content and advertiser-friendly properties.
- Ensure adherence to internal policies, pricing guidelines, and client commitments.
Performance Tracking & Reporting:
- Track and analyze performance of education campaigns using sales data, response
metrics, and MIS reports.
- Identify gaps, recommend optimization strategies, and implement corrective actions to maximize revenue effectiveness.
- Share market insights, competitor intelligence, and client feedback with senior management.
Experience Required:
- 10-15 years of experience in ad sales or corporate sales, preferably within print or media organizations.
- Strong exposure to education-focused advertisers and agencies.
- Proven track record of achieving and exceeding revenue targets.
- Demonstrated ability to drive new business development and scale large institutional accounts.
Qualification:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Marketing, Mass Communication, or a related field.
