The role requires a sharp analytical person willing to work with cutting edge technologies in Analytics. LOCATION: Bangalore/Mumbai YOUR FUTURE EMPLOYER: A leading, global firm with an illustrious range of financial and asset management services serving different market regions across the globe. YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR: - Responsible for big-data infrastructure, machine learning algorithms, and data visualization solutions - Writing codes in R and python - Working directly with the Director in building analytical solutions - Mentoring and guiding junior members of the team to create tools and solutions that can help our clients with their investment decisions - Applications of machine learning and natural language processing to behavioral finance. - Help clients make more informed investment decisions - Create analytical solutions for clients - Provide big data solutions to the clients - Working as an individual contributor in solving analytical problems THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE: - 4+ years of experience in at least two of the following: R and Python - Experience with open source data science tool kits and technologies - Apache (Hadoop, Pig, Spark, Cassandra, Hbase, Storm, Kafka) - R (markdown, dplyr, glmnet, caret) - Experience building high quality interactive web based applications - Angular, d3, R (ggplot2, shiny) - Familiarity with cloud computing platforms, e.g. AWS, and configuration management systems, e.g. Ansible, a plus - Strong English language communication skills; ready to face off with finance and business subject matter experts on challenging problems WHAT IS IN IT FOR YOU: - A meritocratic culture with clear/great career progression. - Fast track career growth. - Work in a dynamic environment for an established organization.
