Data Scientist - Global Consulting Firm - Contractual

At Outsized, we match clients in financial services and management consulting to high-quality independent consultants and boutique/specialist firms for the execution of their key projects.

Our client, a Global Payments Firm is currently carrying out a project for a leading bank in Saudi Arabia. To support with this, our client is looking to onboard a Data Scientist to join their team.

Roles & Responsibilities:

Non-technical:

- Strong communication skills and ability to present findings to client stakeholders

- Experience in Financial Services, Banking & card payments Industry is a plus

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements

- Document all steps in the development process

Technical:

- Advanced knowledge of statistical analysis and machine learning

- Highly Proficient in SAS programming language (SAS 9.4)

- Proficient in other Data Science programming languages (e.g. Python, R)

- Develop, test, implement, and maintain predictive models

- Segmentation, customer lifetime value

- Identify opportunities to innovatively use data/ extract insights from complex data sets

Knowledge and Experience:

- 10 years + in a similar role, ideally with financial services

Skills:

- Advanced knowledge of statistical analysis and machine learning

- Highly Proficient in SAS programming language (SAS 9.4)

- Proficient in other Data Science programming languages (e.g. Python, R)

- Strong communication skills and ability to present findings to senior stakeholders (non-technical)

Mandatory Requirement: Python, R, SAS programming language (SAS 9.4)

This is a 12 months contractual role based in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
