Data Scientist - Fraud

As a Data Scientist specializing in Fraud, you will be at the forefront of protecting our organization and customers from fraudulent activities. Your day-to-day will involve analyzing complex datasets, developing and deploying machine learning models, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate fraud risks. You will work closely with fraud analysts, engineers, and product managers, providing data-driven insights to enhance our fraud detection capabilities. Your work will directly impact the security and trust of our platform, safeguarding our users and ensuring the integrity of our business operations.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop and implement advanced machine learning models to detect and prevent various types of fraudulent activities, enhancing the accuracy and efficiency of our fraud detection systems.

- Analyze large datasets of transactional and behavioral data to identify patterns, anomalies, and emerging fraud trends, providing actionable insights to fraud analysts and business stakeholders.

- Collaborate with engineering teams to deploy and monitor fraud detection models in real-time, ensuring seamless integration and optimal performance.

- Design and execute experiments to evaluate the effectiveness of new fraud prevention strategies, continuously improving our defenses against evolving fraud tactics.

- Communicate findings and recommendations to both technical and non-technical audiences, influencing decision-making and driving the implementation of effective fraud prevention measures.

Required Skillset:

- Demonstrated ability to build and deploy machine learning models for fraud detection, leveraging techniques such as anomaly detection, classification, and clustering.

- Proven expertise in analyzing large datasets using SQL, Python (with libraries like Pandas, Scikit-learn), and other data analysis tools to extract meaningful insights.

- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.

- A Master's or Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field such as Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related discipline.

- Adaptability to a fast-paced environment and willingness to learn new technologies and techniques to stay ahead of evolving fraud trends.
