We are actively hiring experienced Data Scientists for our esteemed client, a boutique consulting firm specializing in helping clients make data-driven decisions. The firm operates in AI, Data Science, Investment Research, Financial Modeling, Real Estate & Mortgage Backed Securities, Policy & Economic Research, and Education & Skilling domains.
Key Responsibilities Areas (KRA)
- Design and develop advanced machine learning models and statistical algorithms to solve complex business problems.
- Analyze large-scale structured and unstructured data to generate actionable insights.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify business opportunities and define data science solutions.
- Build and deploy predictive models in cloud environments (AWS).
- Perform exploratory data analysis (EDA) and feature engineering to improve model performance.
- Develop dashboards and reports using visualization tools to communicate findings to stakeholders.
- Continuously monitor model performance and retrain as required.
- Work closely with Data Engineering teams to integrate models into scalable production pipelines.
- Apply domain knowledge (finance, real estate, policy research) to improve model relevance and accuracy.
- Ensure data privacy, governance, and compliance while developing solutions.
Skillsets Required
- Strong expertise in Machine Learning algorithms (Regression, Classification, Clustering, Time Series Forecasting).
- Hands-on experience with Python (Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch).
- Proficiency in Data Visualization tools Tableau, Power BI, or AWS QuickSight.
- Experience with cloud-based data science environments primarily AWS (S3, Redshift, Athena, SageMaker, Glue).
- Advanced knowledge of SQL for data manipulation and extraction.
- Familiarity with Data Engineering concepts: Data Marts, ETL pipelines, data modeling (Star schema, Snowflake schema).
- Experience in real-time data processing using AWS Kinesis, Lambda.
- Statistical Analysis and hypothesis testing.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to translate business problems into data science solutions.
- Knowledge of Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) in AWS Redshift, RDS, and Aurora is a plus.
- Exposure to Big Data tools like Spark and EMR is advantageous.
- Excellent communication skills to convey technical results to non-technical stakeholders.
- Understanding of business domains such as Finance, Real Estate, Policy Research is a strong plus.
Preferred Qualifications
- Masters or Ph.D. in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or related fields.
- AWS Certification (e.g., AWS Certified Data Analytics Specialty) is preferred.
