Data Science Leader - Artificial Intelligence

Role Overview:

We are seeking a seasoned Data Science Leader to spearhead our artificial intelligence initiatives in Bangalore. In this strategic capacity, you will bridge the gap between complex technical innovation and high-level business objectives, guiding cross-functional teams to deliver scalable AI solutions. You will work closely with C-suite stakeholders and product leaders to define the long-term AI roadmap, ensuring that our investments in Agentic AI and Generative models translate into tangible competitive advantages. Your leadership will directly influence our product evolution, driving efficiency and creating transformative value for our global customer base.

Key Responsibilities:

- Formulate and execute a comprehensive AI strategy that aligns with organizational growth targets to ensure market leadership in the data-driven landscape.

- Oversee the end-to-end development of LLM-based applications and Agentic AI frameworks to automate complex workflows and enhance user experience.

- Mentor and scale high-performing data science teams, fostering a culture of technical excellence and rigorous experimentation.

- Partner with executive stakeholders to identify high-impact business problems, translating them into actionable data science initiatives that drive revenue and operational efficiency.

- Establish robust governance and ethical standards for AI deployment, ensuring all models are scalable, secure, and compliant with industry regulations.

Required Skillset:

- Demonstrated expertise in architecting and deploying large-scale Machine Learning systems, with a deep understanding of the current landscape in Generative AI and LLMs.

- Proven ability to lead and inspire large, multidisciplinary teams, with a track record of managing stakeholders across global business units.

- Advanced proficiency in Python and SQL for complex data manipulation, alongside a strong grasp of modern AI infrastructure and cloud-based model deployment.

- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to distill complex technical concepts into clear, strategic narratives for non-technical board members and investors.

- A Masters degree or PhD in Computer Science, Statistics, or a related quantitative field from a premier institute is highly preferred.

- Comfortable navigating a hybrid work environment in Bangalore, maintaining high levels of team engagement and cross-departmental collaboration.
