Key Responsibilities:

Data Governance & Stewardship:

- Lead enterprise-level data governance and data stewardship councils.

- Establish and maintain data governance frameworks, policies, standards, processes, and operating models.

- Define data ownership, stewardship responsibilities, accountability, and governance workflows.

- Partner with business and technology stakeholders to establish critical data elements and data definitions.

- Define and maintain business glossaries, data dictionaries, data standards, and governance documentation.

- Facilitate governance forums and drive resolution of data-related issues across business functions.

- Develop and implement data governance KPIs and metrics to measure program effectiveness.

- Promote a strong culture of data ownership and accountability across the organization.

Master Data Management:

- Lead enterprise Master Data Management initiatives across customer, product, supplier, provider, or other critical master data domains.

- Manage and optimize MDM solutions using Reltio and/or Informatica.

- Define and implement master data models, hierarchies, relationships, and reference data structures.

- Configure and manage match-and-merge rules to identify and consolidate duplicate records.

- Design and maintain survivorship rules to determine the trusted or golden record.

- Support data onboarding, consolidation, enrichment, and synchronization across enterprise systems.

- Establish processes for master data creation, validation, approval, modification, and retirement.

- Work with technical teams to integrate MDM platforms with downstream and upstream applications.

Data Quality Management:

- Define enterprise data quality standards and establish measurable data quality dimensions.

- Develop data quality rules and controls for accuracy, completeness, consistency, uniqueness, validity, and timeliness.

- Implement automated data quality checks and monitoring mechanisms.

- Identify data quality issues and perform root-cause analysis.

- Work with data owners and stewards to define remediation plans and track issue resolution.

- Establish data quality scorecards and dashboards for critical data domains.

- Monitor data quality trends and proactively identify recurring issues.

- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to improve the reliability and usability of enterprise data.

Data Lineage & Metadata Management:

- Establish and maintain data lineage across critical data elements and business processes.

- Collaborate with technology teams to document data flows across source, transformation, MDM, and target systems.

- Support metadata management and maintain accurate business and technical metadata.

- Identify upstream and downstream dependencies for critical data elements.

- Ensure data lineage and metadata documentation support governance, audit, and compliance requirements.

Regulatory Compliance & Controls:

- Ensure data governance and quality practices support applicable regulatory and organizational requirements.

- Develop governance controls and evidence required for regulated data environments.

- Support compliance initiatives involving healthcare and regulated data where applicable.

- Ensure appropriate governance of sensitive and critical data.

- Partner with compliance, risk, security, and audit teams during assessments and reviews.

- Support data-related requirements associated with regulations such as FDA and HIPAA where applicable.

Stakeholder Management:

- Work closely with business leaders, data owners, data stewards, product teams, engineering teams, and enterprise architects.

- Translate business requirements into practical data governance and MDM solutions.

- Facilitate workshops to define data standards, business rules, ownership, and quality requirements.

- Act as a subject matter expert for data governance, MDM, and data quality initiatives.

- Communicate data quality and governance risks, issues, and improvement opportunities to senior stakeholders.

Team Leadership & Mentoring:

- Mentor and guide data stewards, governance analysts, and data quality professionals.

- Establish best practices for data stewardship and governance operations.

- Review team deliverables and ensure adherence to established governance standards.

- Build team capability through knowledge sharing, training, and coaching.

- Promote a collaborative and data-driven working culture.

Required Technical Skills:

- 8 - 13 years of experience in Data Governance, Data Quality, MDM, Data Management, or related areas.

- Strong hands-on experience with Reltio and/or Informatica MDM.

- Strong understanding of Master Data Management concepts and methodologies.

- Experience designing match-and-merge and survivorship rules.

- Strong knowledge of data quality frameworks and DQ dimensions.

- Experience defining and implementing automated data quality checks.

- Knowledge of data lineage, metadata management, data dictionaries, and business glossaries.

- Experience with data governance frameworks, policies, standards, and operating models.

- Strong understanding of data ownership and stewardship models.

- Experience working with enterprise data models and master data domains.

- Knowledge of data integration concepts and enterprise data flows.

- Experience working with regulated or sensitive data environments is preferred.

Preferred Skills:

- Experience with Reltio MDM or Informatica MDM implementations.

- Experience in healthcare, life sciences, pharmaceuticals, or other regulated industries.

- Understanding of FDA and HIPAA-related data governance requirements.

- Exposure to modern cloud data platforms and data integration technologies.

- Experience with data quality monitoring and governance dashboards.

- Knowledge of API-based MDM integrations.

- Experience with data governance tools, metadata platforms, or lineage solutions.

- Experience leading enterprise-wide data governance programs.
