Data Protection Officer - Privacy Operations & Risk Management

- Responsible for setting up and managing Organization's data privacy framework, driving privacy accountability and lawful processing across the Organization while partnering with internal departments and business stakeholders to embed practical data protection controls and support compliant growth.

- Develop and manage the Company's data protection strategy, including the development and implementation of data protection policy and procedures.

- Set up the Data Protection Office to align resources to comply with the requirements of DPDPA regulation, SEBI regulations, and AMFI guidelines.

- Serve as the single point of contact within the organization for staff members, regulators, investors, and relevant public authorities on issues related to data protection.

- Liaise with Data Protection Board, AMFI, external counsel, SBI Bank with regards to privacy related requirements and updates.

- Responsible for internal and external communications pertaining to legal, regulatory matters and Data Principal requests.

Professional skills/ experience:

- 12-15 years of experience in areas of data protection laws and practices, including deep understanding of DPDPA, GDPR, etc.

- Experience in a legal, audit, or risk management role.

- Strong understanding of data protection laws and privacy program management

- Shall have strong experience in related disciplines such as information governance, incident response, risk management, etc.
