
Role Overview:
- We are seeking a skilled Data Modeler to join our growing data management team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining data models that support our business intelligence, data warehousing, and application development initiatives.
- You will collaborate closely with data architects, database administrators, business analysts, and application developers to ensure data models align with business requirements and architectural standards. Your work will directly impact the accuracy, efficiency, and scalability of our data-driven decision-making processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop logical and physical data models using industry best practices and standards to meet business requirements.
- Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to gather and document data requirements for new and existing systems.
- Maintain and update existing data models to reflect changes in business needs and data sources, ensuring data integrity and consistency.
- Conduct data analysis and profiling to understand data structures, relationships, and quality, informing data model design decisions.
- Develop and maintain data dictionaries and metadata repositories to ensure data governance and compliance.
- Participate in data modeling reviews and provide feedback to ensure data models are aligned with architectural standards and best practices.
- Support the implementation of data models in database environments, working closely with database administrators and application developers.
- Troubleshoot data-related issues and provide solutions to ensure data quality and availability for business users.
Required Skillset:
- Demonstrable ability to design and implement logical and physical data models using industry-standard methodologies.
- Exposure of Azure Cloud Services (Azure DataFactory, Azure Devops and Databricks)
- Familiarity with tools such as Azure DevOps, Jira and GitHub
- Proven expertise in using data modeling tools such as erwin and ER Studio.
- Strong understanding of relational database concepts, SQL, and data warehousing principles.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to understand complex data relationships.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
