Data Management cum Data Curation Expert - IT

Job Responsibilities Data Management-cum-Data curation Expert:

- Develop and implement standards for data curation, data quality, metadata as per international best practices.

- Develop and implement procedures for effective data management system.

- Create rules and procedures for data sharing. Oversee and manage staff members in the daily use of data systems.

- Curating datasets and documenting and automating curation processes to ensure data is updated regularly, data quality and accuracy is maintained, and metadata are created and managed in accordance with set standards.

- Study NQAF and GSPBM framework and suggest customization as per State requirement.

- Develop indicator framework as a member of the data curation team.

- Assess current data gaps, identify data sources, document metadata and contribute to database curation.

- Perform data quality and validation checks and document data quality errors.

- Communicate with data providers and resolve data quality and data input errors.

- Document all data management processes involved in indicator compilation process.

- Digitize DES products into appropriate dissemination frameworks. Develop, contribute and review requirements for the development of MahaDataBank

- Perform quality assurance testing of different data portals and products to ensure they are working as per defined requirements.

- Manage all incoming data files and continually develop data management strategies.

- Prepare and implement quality assurance policies and procedures and also perform routine inspections and quality tests.

- Address and discuss issues and proposed solutions with superiors.

- Creating audit reports and conducts audits as necessary.

Key Skills Required:

- Experience in implementing quality assurance frameworks.

- Knowledge of relevant standards.

- Good communication skills, both verbal and written.

- Knowledge of NQAF and GSPBM.

- Experience in data analysis with strong understanding of metadata, data organization, data quality assessment, and data profiling

Education Qualifications:

Master's degree in computer science, statistics, mathematics or equivalent with a strong quantitative and computational background.

Experience (in yrs)

Minimum experience of 8 Years in handling data management and quality related projects.
