Data Architect - Telecom

Data Architect (10-19 yrs)

Job Description:

- Strong understanding of data modelling principles (e.g., Kimball, dimensional modelling, analytical modelling).

- Proven experience delivering or contributing to a data warehouse build or migration project.

- Hands-on experience designing analytical and reporting data models.

- ETL/ELT development experience, including analysis of existing transformation logic.

- Strong SQL skills, comfortable writing complex queries for transformation, validation, and reconciliation.

- Experience validating data pipelines and performing reconciliation testing between legacy and new environments.

- Ability to translate business requirements into robust data model designs.

- Proven experience in data system design covering ingestion, staging layer design, conformed layer design and a distinct appreciation for data exploitation.

- Strong inclination and experience of all aspects of Data Management: MDM, Metadata management, Cataloguing and Data Quality Management

- Databricks: 3+ years deep expertise in PySpark development, advanced Unity Catalog implementation and governance frameworks.

Desirable:

- Experience with dbt for transformation modelling.

- Experience working within the Telecoms sector.

- Experience with AWS data platform services.

- Familiarity with BI/reporting tools and how data models support downstream consumption.

- Knowledge of data governance, metadata management, and data lineage practices.

- Experience with / knowledge of: AWS, Azure, GCP, Snowflake
