Data & AI Strategy Consultant

Role Overview:

We are looking for a Data & AI Strategy Consultant to help organizations define and execute data and artificial intelligence strategies that drive business transformation and measurable value. The role requires a strong combination of business consulting, data strategy, AI transformation, architecture understanding, and stakeholder management.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for assessing current data and AI capabilities, identifying transformation opportunities, defining target-state strategies, and translating business objectives into scalable data and AI solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop and execute Data & AI strategies aligned with business objectives and enterprise transformation goals.

- Assess an organization's current data, analytics, AI, technology, and operating-model maturity and identify areas for improvement.

- Define AI transformation roadmaps, including use-case identification, prioritization, business value assessment, and implementation planning.

- Identify and evaluate opportunities for Generative AI, Machine Learning, Advanced Analytics, and AI-led business transformation.

- Work with business and technology stakeholders to translate business challenges into data and AI solutions.

- Define target-state Data & AI architecture, platforms, governance, operating models, and technology capabilities.

- Develop business cases, value propositions, investment roadmaps, and transformation plans for Data & AI initiatives.

- Provide consulting guidance on AI adoption, AI governance, responsible AI, data governance, and enterprise AI operating models.

- Collaborate with enterprise architects, data engineers, AI/ML teams, product teams, and business leaders to ensure successful strategy execution.

- Lead workshops and discovery sessions with senior stakeholders to understand business priorities and identify high-value Data & AI opportunities.

- Prepare consulting deliverables including strategy documents, maturity assessments, transformation roadmaps, architecture frameworks, business cases, and executive presentations.

- Stay current with emerging AI, GenAI, cloud, data platforms, analytics, and AI architecture trends and assess their applicability to enterprise environments.

Required Skills & Experience:

- Strong experience in Data & AI Strategy, AI Transformation, AI Consulting, or Technology Consulting.

- Strong understanding of enterprise data strategy, analytics, AI/ML, and modern data platforms.

- Experience developing AI transformation strategies and roadmaps.

- Strong understanding of AI architecture and AI solution design.

- Ability to evaluate and define AI use cases, business value, feasibility, and implementation approach.

- Good understanding of cloud platforms, data architecture, data governance, and enterprise technology ecosystems.

- Strong consulting, problem-solving, analytical, and strategic thinking skills.

- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to interact with CXO and senior business/technology stakeholders.

- Ability to convert complex technical concepts into clear business recommendations and executive-level presentations.

Good to Have:

- Experience with Generative AI, LLMs, AI Agents, RAG, or AI-enabled enterprise solutions.

- Exposure to AWS, Azure, or GCP data and AI ecosystems.

- Knowledge of Data Governance, MDM, Data Quality, Data Privacy, and Responsible AI.

- Experience with enterprise AI operating models and AI governance frameworks.

- Experience across industries such as BFSI, Healthcare, Retail, Manufacturing, or Telecom is an advantage.
