About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Data Analyst to support IPO, fundraising, and transaction advisory mandates through data-driven insights. The role involves market research, financial data analysis, lead generation support, and building dashboards/reports that aid business development, due diligence, and client decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

- Collect, clean, and analyze financial and market data related to companies planning IPOs, fundraising, or other capital market transactions.

- Build and maintain databases of prospective clients (companies eligible for SME/Mainboard IPO) based on defined financial and industry criteria.

- Support the BD team with market mapping, industry research, and lead generation analytics.

- Analyze peer company financials, valuations, and industry benchmarks to support pitch presentations and due diligence.

- Track IPO market trends issue sizes, subscription data, listing gains, sectoral performance and prepare periodic market reports.

- Assist in financial modeling, ratio analysis, and data validation for due diligence (FDD) teams.

- Design and maintain dashboards (Excel/Power BI/Tableau) to track business pipeline, mandate status, and key performance metrics.

- Extract and analyze data from stock exchanges (BSE/NSE), SEBI filings, ROC records, and other public databases.

- Automate recurring data pulls and reports using tools like Excel macros, SQL, or Python where applicable.

- Support preparation of MIS reports, investor presentations, and management dashboards.

- Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and confidentiality across all reporting.

- Collaborate with BD, FDD, LDD, and IR teams to provide data support across the deal lifecycle.

Key Skills & Competencies:

- Strong proficiency in MS Excel (advanced formulas, pivot tables, macros); working knowledge of Power BI/Tableau is a plus.

- Basic to intermediate knowledge of SQL and/or Python for data extraction and automation.

- Strong understanding of financial statements, ratios, and capital market terminology.

- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.

- Ability to present data insights clearly through reports, charts, and dashboards.

- Good communication skills to coordinate with cross-functional teams.

- Familiarity with SEBI filings, stock exchange data, and ROC/MCA databases is an advantage.

Qualifications & Experience:

- Graduate/Postgraduate in Finance, Statistics, Economics, Commerce, or related field; MBA/Data Analytics certification is a plus.

- 1-5 years of experience in data analysis, preferably in BFSI, investment banking, merchant banking, or capital markets.

- Prior exposure to IPO/fundraising data analysis is highly desirable.

Compensation:

- As per industry standards, commensurate with experience.
