Description: We're Hiring for a leading Chemical Manufacturing company.

Role: Assistant Manager BI & Data Analysis

Experience Required: 9+ years (Below 8 yrs of exp, pls don't apply)

About the Role:

- Lead the design, development, and governance of enterprise BI solutions that power decision-making across functions.

- Youll own semantic models, data pipelines, and Power BI ecosystems end-to-endpartnering with business stakeholders, mentoring developers, and driving automation, performance, and trust in data.

- The ideal candidate blends hands-on technical depth with strong communication, a growth mindset, and readiness to take on new challenges.

Responsibilities:

- Minimum: 9+ years in BI, data analytics, or data engineering roles with significant hands-on delivery.

Qualifications:

Power BI expertise:

- Data modeling (star/snowflake), DAX, measures, calculation groups, hierarchies, relationships.

- Performance tuning (VertiPaq optimization, aggregations, composite models, DirectQuery, incremental refresh).

- Dataset and report development, deployment pipelines, workspace/admin tasks, gateways, monitoring.

- Security: Row-Level Security (RLS) and Object-Level Security (OLS).

SQL and database skills:

- Advanced TSQL; writing and optimizing complex queries, views, stored procedures, and indexes.

- Hands-on with SQL Server using SSMS; query tuning and indexing strategies.

- Familiarity with Azure Synapse Analytics (formerly SQL DW) and Azure SQL Database.

- Azure Databricks (SQL/PySpark), Delta Lake, notebooks, Jobs, cluster management, performance optimization.

- Best practices for Lakehouse architecture and Unity Catalog (governance).

Power Platform (Good to have):

- Power Apps (canvas/model-driven) to capture operational data and extend BI workflows.

- Power Automate for approvals, alerting, and orchestration; integration with Power BI and ADF.

AI and advanced analytics (Good to have):

- Applying forecasting, anomaly detection, NLP, and segmentation in BI solutions.

- Integrating models from Azure Machine Learning/Cognitive Services; monitoring and retraining workflows.

- Leveraging AI features in Power BI and the Power Platform to accelerate development and insights.

Collaboration and communication:

- Strong stakeholder management, requirements gathering, documentation, and user enablement.

- Ability to work independently and lead/mentor a team of developers.

Required Skills:

- Power BI expertise

- SQL and database skills

- Power Platform knowledge (Good to have)

- AI and advanced analytics knowledge (Good to have)

- Collaboration and communication skills

Preferred Skills:

- Experience with Power Platform
