
Key Responsibilities:
- Create, maintain, and enhance Basel datasets to support risk model development and validation activities.
- Perform data creation, extraction, transformation, manipulation, and analysis using large and complex datasets.
- Develop and execute data validation and quality checks to ensure data accuracy, completeness, and consistency.
- Analyze data and identify trends, anomalies, gaps, and data quality issues.
- Apply data governance principles to ensure data integrity, lineage, and consistency across Basel datasets.
- Work closely with Risk, Data, and Model Development teams to understand and deliver Basel-related data requirements.
- Support the preparation, documentation, and maintenance of Basel data requirements and processes.
- Develop and maintain data processing and analysis scripts using Python and SQL.
- Investigate and resolve data-related issues impacting risk models and Basel reporting requirements.
- Ensure adherence to established data quality, governance, and control standards.
- Support continuous improvement of Basel data processes, controls, and analytical methodologies.
Required Skills:
- 4+ years of experience in Banking / Financial Services, preferably in risk, regulatory, or data analytics environments.
- Basic understanding of the Basel II/III framework and its application within banking and risk management.
- Strong hands-on experience in Data Manipulation, Data Creation, Data Analysis, and Data Governance.
- Strong proficiency in Python for data processing and analysis.
- Strong proficiency in SQL and experience working with large datasets.
- Experience with data validation, reconciliation, quality checks, and data controls.
- Ability to work with complex datasets and perform detailed data analysis.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good understanding of data quality, governance, and data management concepts.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with Risk, Data, and Model Development teams.
- Exposure to SAS is preferred but not mandatory.
