Role Overview:


- The Category Marketing Manager will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive marketing strategies for specific categories within our offering's portfolio.

- This role requires a strategic thinker with a strong understanding of B2B marketing, excellent communication skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Planning:


- Conduct market research and analysis to deeply understand customer needs, market trends, and competitive landscape within assigned product categories.

- Define target audiences, buyer personas, and segmentation strategies for effective marketing campaigns.

Positioning and Messaging:

- Develop clear and compelling positioning and messaging for the product categories to differentiate them in the market and resonate with target audiences.

- Ensure consistency in messaging across all marketing channels and materials.

Go-to-Market Strategy:

- Plan and execute integrated marketing campaigns that drive awareness, consideration, and demand for the product categories.

- Collaborate with marketing, sales, and product teams to align go-to-market strategies and ensure effective campaign execution.

Content Development:

- Develop a content strategy for the product categories, including whitepapers, case studies, blogs, videos, webinars, and sales collateral.

- Create high-quality content that educates and informs target audiences about the benefits and use cases of the product categories.

Sales Enablement:

- Develop sales enablement tools and resources, such as sales presentations, battle cards, and product demos, to support the sales teams in effectively communicating the value proposition of the product categories.

- Provide training and support to sales teams on category-specific messaging, competitive differentiation, and objection handling.

Performance Measurement and Optimization:

- Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of category marketing initiatives, including lead generation, pipeline contribution, market share growth, and brand awareness.

- Analyze campaign performance data and market insights to optimize strategies and tactics for continuous improvement.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

- Collaborate closely with product management, sales, marketing communications, and customer success teams to ensure alignment and support for category marketing initiatives.

- Build relationships with industry analysts, media partners, and third-party influencers to amplify category-specific messaging and thought leadership.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in marketing, Business, or a related field.

- MBA preferred.

- 14+ years of experience in marketing, with a focus on category or product marketing in the B2B technology sector.

- Proven track record of developing and executing successful marketing strategies for specific product categories or solutions.

- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and market research to drive strategic decisions.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts clearly and concisely.

- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

- Team player with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
