Product Manager - Platform & Workflow Systems

About the Opportunity
Dainik Bhaskar is replacing a 20-year-old SAP system with modern enterprise software built from scratch : Master Database Management, Order Management System, and a field Sales Customer Relationship Manager serving 1,000+ sales executives across 61 cities. The platform layer is the hardest part: multi-level approval chains, workflow configuration, legacy data migration, and data models that took two decades to evolve. We need someone who thinks in systems, not features.
This is NOT a consumer PM role.
You will spend more time mapping approval hierarchies and documenting edge cases than designing interfaces. If platform architecture and workflow configuration interest you - this is the role. If you want growth hacking or B2C work, this is not it.
What You'll Own:
Order Management System (OMS):
- End-to-end ad booking lifecycle - initiation through moderation, scheduling, and completion across all order segments. Built for B2B Agencies, B2C Customer Platform, and Internal Users.
- Agency features - dashboards, client manager, reports for billing statements, credit note statements, payment advice logs, outstanding registers.
- Integration design - OMS to MDM, ad scheduling systems, and finance and billing.
Master Data Management (MDM):
- Sales User Hierarchy System - 1,000+ sales executives, dual reporting structures, role-based access, approval chain configuration.
- Business Partner Management System - agency, direct client, and government onboarding with different validation rules.
- Workflow Configuration Engine - multi-level approvals, with proxy and delegation logic, exception scenario handling.
- Rate and Scheme Configuration - rate card structure, discount governance, pricing logic enforcement.
Platform Integrity:
- Data migration planning - legacy SAP to new schema, migration rules and validation checks.
- Edge case documentation - every 'what if' resolved before development, not after.
- UAT design and facilitation - 20-30 test cases per module with domain expert users.
Who You Are
Must-Have
- 5-8 years in product management or business analysis, with at least 3 years on enterprise B2B systems
- Platform-level thinking - data models, workflow engines, approval hierarchies, integration design
- Enterprise system experience - ERP, CRM, OMS, or equivalent. You understand how these are structured and why
- Documentation depth - PRDs a developer can build from without clarifying questions
- Edge case instinct - you ask 'what happens when...' and do not stop until you have an answer
- Stakeholder management in legacy organisations - you can earn trust with 50-year-old domain experts independently
- SQL or Excel proficiency - data validation, migration checks, and reporting without engineering support
Strong Advantage
- SAP or legacy system migration experience
- Ad sales, media, or publishing domain knowledge
- Workflow configuration tool experience - designed or configured approval chains in any enterprise system
- B2B billing, invoicing, or financial operations systems
