Position Overview:
We are seeking a visionary, strategic, and execution-focused individual to join our team as Head of D2C. This is a high-impact leadership role focused on scaling our Direct-to-Consumer business through performance-driven growth, team leadership, and seamless digital operations.
The ideal candidate will bring a blend of sharp business acumen and a deep digital expertise. You will own the D2C P&L, drive website sales, and ensure the end-to-end consumer experience is optimized across all touchpointsfrom acquisition to retention.
This is a high-ownership role ideal for someone looking to lead and grow a performance-led D2C brand with national visibility.
Key Responsibilities:
1. D2C Strategy & Performance Ownership
- Own and drive the P&L for the D2C channel with aggressive sales growth targets.
- Define and execute the short-term and long-term roadmap for D2C growth.
- Analyze and optimize digital funnels, conversion rates, and customer journeys.
2. Website Management
- Lead end-to-end management of the D2C website including UI/UX, SEO, CRO, and tech improvements.
- Collaborate with design and tech teams to ensure the site is fast & intuitive.
- Constantly test, learn, and iterate to improve conversion and average order value (AOV).
3. Team & Cross-functional Leadership
- Build and manage a cross-functional D2C team across digital marketing, performance, operations, and customer experience.
- Coordinate with marketing, content, merchandising, logistics, and customer support to drive seamless operations.
4. Marketing & Growth Execution
- Lead performance marketing across paid media, organic channels, email, influencer, and affiliate programs.
- Define retention and loyalty strategies to improve repeat purchase rates and customer LTV.
- Collaborate on content, campaigns, and storytelling to drive traffic and engagement.
5 Data & Performance Tracking
- Monitor key metrics including traffic, conversion rate, CAC, AOV, and ROAS.
- Use tools and dashboards to derive actionable insights and guide growth strategies.
6 Competition & Industry Intelligence
- Actively track competitor activities, market trends, and emerging D2C innovations
- Leverage competitive insights and consumer behaviour data to inform growth strategies and product development.
- Work closely with product and design teams to translate market gaps into new offerings.
Desired Profile:
- Postgraduate with 5+ years of experience in D2C, e-commerce, or digital sales.
- Proven experience in scaling D2C revenue, preferably in consumer brands (apparel, lifestyle).
- Strong understanding of Shopify, digital marketing, analytics, and tech integrations.
- Leadership experience managing cross-functional digital teams.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and strategic thinking abilities.
- High ownership mindset, comfortable with fast-paced execution.
