The Role:
We are seeking a high-ownership D2C Business Lead to scale our official brand website into a profitable, high-growth channel. This is a full-stack leadership role where you will oversee revenue, performance marketing, CRM, merchandising, and conversion optimization. You will own the end-to-end P&L and be responsible for building a sustainable D2C engine that focuses on profitable growth rather than a discount-led strategy.
Key Responsibilities
Growth & Performance: Own the performance marketing strategy across Meta and Google, managing external agencies while building a roadmap to transition capabilities in-house.
Retention & CRM: Scale revenue through Email, SMS, and WhatsApp channels by building lifecycle journeys (welcome, abandon, win-back) and improving Customer Lifetime Value (LTV).
Website & Conversion: Own the end-to-end funnel-from landing pages and PDPs to checkout-and improve Conversion Rate (CVR) via UX enhancements and testing.
Merchandising & Inventory: Drive assortment availability and sell-through, ensuring inventory levels are strictly aligned with marketing campaigns and seasonal drops.
Campaign Management: Manage the full campaign calendar, including End of Season Sales (EOSS), product launches, and seasonal collections.
Analytics: Track and analyze core metrics-including Traffic, AOV, CAC, and ROAS-to drive immediate business actions.
Requirements:
Experience: A minimum of 5+ years of work experience in D2C or e-commerce.
Mandatory Expertise: You must have hands-on experience managing a brand's own website (direct-to-consumer).
Technical Proficiency: Hands-on experience with Shopify or similar e-commerce platforms is essential.
Marketing Skills: Strong expertise in both performance marketing and retention/CRM strategies.
Mindset: Highly analytical and execution-driven, with a proven track record of scaling revenue profitably.
Success in This Role:
- A successful candidate will improve CVR, repeat rates, and CAC efficiency while building a sustainable, high-growth digital channel. You should be comfortable reporting to the VP of Digital and driving results through a data-first approach.
Note: The interested professionals should be in Chennai or comfortable relocating to Chennai.
