Cyient - Research & Strategy Analyst

We are seeking a high-caliber Research & Strategy Analyst to join our team in Hyderabad. This individual will work closely with senior leadership on market intelligence, strategic planning, and competitive analysis - specifically focused on the semiconductor industry. This is a high-impact role ideal for someone who thrives on problem-solving, strategic thinking, and data-backed decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

- Conduct in-depth industry research, trend analysis, and competitive benchmarking within the global semiconductor sector.

- Support strategic initiatives through data modeling, scenario planning, and business case development.

- Track emerging technologies, partnerships, M\&A activity, and ecosystem developments relevant to semiconductors.

- Analyze company performance and KPIs to support long-term strategy and growth planning.

- Develop dashboards, financial models, and presentations for executive reviews.

- Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, Finance, and Business Development teams.

- Assist in identifying strategic risks and opportunities across markets, geographies, and business units.

Key Skills & Requirements:

- 2-6 years of experience in corporate strategy, management consulting, or industry research, preferably in the semiconductor or deep tech sector.

- Strong proficiency in financial modeling, Excel, PowerPoint, and data analytics tools.

- Exceptional analytical and quantitative skills - comfortable working with complex datasets and turning numbers into insights.

- Excellent communication and storytelling skills - ability to present findings to senior stakeholders

- Highly self-driven, detail-oriented, and structured in problem-solving.

- Global mindset with awareness of semiconductor market dynamics and global competition.

Preferred Industry Background:

Semiconductor.

Electronics/High-tech.

Management Consulting with focus on technology clients.

Market Intelligence/Research firms supporting semiconductor or hardware sectors.

Educational Qualification:

MBA from Tier 1 B-Schools (e.g., IIMs, ISB, XLRI, FMS, SPJIMR, etc.)

Background in Engineering or related technical discipline is a plus.
