About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Cyber Security Expert to join a leading technology team in Australia. The role involves safeguarding IT infrastructure, monitoring security systems, and developing strategies to prevent and respond to cyber threats. The ideal candidate will combine technical expertise with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities:

- Design and implement security measures to protect IT infrastructure and data.

- Monitor networks and systems for potential threats or vulnerabilities.

- Conduct risk assessments, security audits, and penetration testing.

- Develop and enforce information security policies and compliance standards.

- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure secure deployment of applications and systems.

- Respond to security incidents and manage incident recovery plans.

- Stay updated on the latest cybersecurity threats, tools, and best practices.

- Prepare reports and present findings to management.

Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

- 5-8 years of experience in cybersecurity or related roles.

- Strong knowledge of firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and SIEM tools.

- Hands-on experience with risk assessment, penetration testing, and vulnerability management.

- Familiarity with international security standards (ISO 27001, NIST, CIS).

- Relevant certifications (CISSP, CISM, CEH, or equivalent) are highly desirable.

- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills.

- Open to relocating to Australia.
