Job Description: - Clear understanding of the regulatory framework in the electricity sector in India, EA Act 2003 and various regulations, Tariff policy, National Electricity Policy etc - Interpret policy issues relating to energy storage, microgrids, smart grid, EVs, renewable energy and collection of relevant energy statistics - Reviews, interprets, and assists in the understanding of the actual impact existing and proposed regulations will have on the clients / utilities business - Hands-on experience in filing of tariff petition, petition for annual truing up (APR), from time to time submission of comments on draft regulations of MERC, CEA, CERC and on different draft policies - Responsible for sensitizing clients / company on different regulatory issues including the emerging ones - Responsible for appraisal of regulatory issues of new power related projects and accordingly advise clients / management, keeping the trading team update of different regulatory issues that has impact on power trading. - Responsible for guiding trading team on regulatory aspects - Effectively manage the request intake process including participating in project scoping calls to clarify understanding and prepare a detailed project scope document - Contribute to the delivery and presentation of client deliverables (MS PowerPoint, MS Excel, MS Word) - prepare client ready presentations that are well structured, logical and clear to understand - Articulate findings through visually appealing / appropriate frameworks and in a clear, concise, and grammatically correct business English (both written and verbal) - Analysis of various technical and economic aspects of renewable energy sector regulations, Keeping track of international and national trends in the Renewable Energy Sector Desired Candidate Profile - UG:B.Tech/B.E. - Electrical, Electronics/Telecommunication - PG:MBA from reputed institution - Experience in regulatory affairs for at least 5 years - Knowledge of key domestic / international players, their areas of operations, existing and planned activities and capacities etc
