- We are seeking a highly accomplished Partner - General Corporate to lead and grow the General Corporate practice for a leading Tier 1 law firm. - The ideal candidate will bring a strong client portfolio, proven leadership capabilities, and the ability to drive business growth while ensuring excellence in service delivery. - This is a strategic leadership role with responsibility for practice development, team management, and client engagement. Key Responsibilities: - Lead and manage the General Corporate practice end-to-end, ensuring high-quality service delivery. - Build, develop, and retain a strong team of Associates, Senior Associates, and Associate Partners. - Oversee strategic planning and operational management of the practice. - Leverage an existing strong client book to initiate and expand business opportunities. - Develop and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring long-term engagement. - Identify, acquire, and manage new opportunities to drive practice growth. - Serve as a trusted advisor to clients on high-value and complex corporate matters. - Ensure the practice meets and exceeds financial and performance targets. - Maintain the firm's reputation for excellence in legal services. - Collaborate with other partners and practice groups to support cross-selling opportunities. - Mentor and guide team members to ensure professional growth and high performance. - Foster a collaborative, inclusive, and high-performance work environment. Requirements: Experience: 10 - 15 years in General Corporate law, with demonstrated leadership and business development experience. - Client Portfolio: Strong book of clients to initiate business for the practice. - Expertise: Deep knowledge of general corporate matters including M&A, joint ventures, corporate advisory, and commercial contracts. - Excellent spoken and written communication skills. - Strong leadership and people management skills. - Strategic thinking with a results-driven approach.
