CSB Bank - Member/Senior Team Member - Wholesale Credit Audit

Role Overview:

We're looking for an experienced Internal Auditor to join our Credit Audit team. This individual contributor will be responsible for performing comprehensive audits, assessing risks, and ensuring compliance with regulatory and procedural requirements for the bank's credit portfolio.

Key Responsibilities:

- Conduct detailed credit audits for Wholesale and SME banking, covering the entire lending lifecycle.

- Evaluate credit due diligence, security documentation, account conduct, post-sanction monitoring, and credit rating models.

- Audit credit assessments related to working capital loans, non-fund exposures, term loans, and project finance.

- Perform thematic reviews on borrower credit ratings, loan provisioning, NPA classification, end user verification, early warning triggers, and stressed assets.

- Identify gaps or weaknesses in credit risk evaluation and monitoring processes, and recommend corrective actions.

- Independently analyse financial data and spot inconsistencies in credit assessment notes.

- Review regulatory submissions (e.g., RBI data, tranche I and III).

- Highlight control lapses, revenue leakages, and suggest improvements.

- Collaborate with stakeholders to discuss observations and finalise findings.

- Prepare and finalise audit reports with the team leader.

- Track open/pending audit issues and ensure resolution.

- Oversee concurrent audits and maintain updated documentation.

Qualification and Experience:

- CA / MBA / Postgraduate Finance or related field with 5 to 9 years of relevant experience in credit audit for banks.

- Experience in credit audit/loan review mechanism (LRM) teams in banks.

Key Skills:

- Knowledge of RBI regulations and wholesale credit underwriting.

- Strong communication and report drafting skills.

- Analytical and problem-solving abilities.

- Proficient in MS Word and Excel.

- Timeline-oriented with efficient audit execution.
