ROLE SUMMARY:
- The Deal Generation expert is accountable for driving growth for the Organization by ensuring a continuous flow of potential leads to partner with K12 Institutions PAN India to provide them strategic growth and expansion by entering new markets, addon to existing products and services, etc:
- Identifying, developing and securing creative business opportunities to acquire existing educational institutions and diving deeper into promising markets across India
- Scouting for greenfield opportunities to develop new K12 schools and securing partnerships with ready-for-growth institutions and school chains
KEY RESULT AREAS:
1. Identify institutions for acquisition and alliances in growth-oriented markets through all possible sources
2. Devise creative options to collaborate with existing institutions and school chains with a potential for growth and expansion to new markets and initiate discussions to provide strategic support for infrastructure and market development
3. Scout for potential greenfield projects in the K12 sector, particularly in growth corridors across promising markets Develop and maintain a comprehensive pipeline of potential deals, ensuring all opportunities are tracked, nurtured, and advanced through the business development cycle
4. Initiate negotiations with potential partners, ensuring favourable terms that align with the strategic goals.
TASKS:
1. Develop and maintain strong relations with brokers, real estate developers, infrastructure project companies and other reliable sources to generate leads to connect with School owners, management trusts and promoters
2. Make creative presentations to prospective partners with compelling expansion and growth strategies
3. Conduct extensive research to identify market trends, opportunities and gather all relevant data regarding the region and target institutions to aid informed acquisition decision-making
4. Develop and maintain an active database of potential leads with relevant details and present updates list to decision makers at agreed frequencies
5. Travel and network extensively, do cold calls, host meetings and presentations to explore new growth possibilities, build relations and generate targeted number of strong acquisition proposals
6. Collaborate with internal teams including finance, legal, and operations, to assess viability and enable smooth processing of the deal
7. Provide Management reports on agreed frequencies about deal progress, and any potential risks or challenges
8. Maintain up-to date knowledge of K12 Infrastructure sector developments and provide regular inputs to decision makers
9. Participate in due diligence assurance by conducting preliminary assessments, and collaborating closely with legal and financial teams, with a clear understanding of capital expenditure (CapEx) and operational expenditure (OpEx) considerations.
CANDIDATE PROFILE SPECIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION: MBA in Business, Finance, Real Estate, or a related field. (Tier 1 & 2 B-Schools only)
EXPERIENCE: 4-6 years in Infrastructure/ Property acquisition roles, preferred from Education Infra Sector (IPCs, Real Estate services and Investment firms- CBRE, Knight Frank, Cushman & Wakefield, CLR, etc)
SKILL SET:
1. Strong understanding of the education infrastructure landscape, including acquisition trends and greenfield project development
2. Design thinking and creative skills
3. Excellent negotiation and interpersonal skills
4. Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and work within timelines
5. Proficiency in CRM, analytics and presentation tools and techniques
OTHER CONDITIONS:
6. Willingness to travel extensively
7. Should be able to join within 60 days from date of offer
